Case Discussion

CASE DISCUSSION

During a BBQ party, a girl stumbled and took a little fall. She assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) but she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. Her husband got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, then they went about enjoying the rest of the evening.
Someone called the man later and ask about her wife’s health. He said that his wife had been taken to the hospital (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ.
Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps same girl would be with us
today… tomorrow or may be some other day….!

Some don't die....they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

Neurosurgeon Interpretation:

.

If I can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours, I can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...almost more than 99%.
What matters is just to know how a stroke is recognized, diagnosed.

Physiotherapist Views:.

.
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

No suphisticated machines or techniques are needed to diagnose the initial events of stroke.
Stroke can be diagnosed with three simple questions

F ---------------------- Check asymmetry of "Face"

A---------------------- Check if both "Arms" are moving
S----------------------  Check "Speech"

T----------------------Time to act fast

“It’s not about what you got, its about what you make of what you got. Be vigilant and mind your head whenever you are around as you can save a life in few seconds”
